Rice Bowl Recordings Is Now Accepting Demos

On March 1, 2017, Rice Bowl Recordings officially opened its doors to artists and producers by announcing that the label was accepting demo submissions.
Rice Bowl Recordings had recently been founded by Davin Duke and Vince Blakk and was initially established and operated from South Africa.
This first public announcement marked one of the earliest steps in the creation of the label, its catalog and its international artist community.
Producers were invited to submit original and unreleased electronic music for consideration.
From the beginning, the goal was to discover music with a strong identity, emotional character and genuine artistic direction, while building long-term relationships with producers from around the world.
The original announcement also featured the first Rice Bowl Recordings logo, a simple circular design created during the earliest stage of the label.
Far removed from the visual identity used today, it remains an authentic reminder of where the project began and how much the brand has evolved since 2017.
What started in South Africa with a basic logo, a simple website and an open call for demos would gradually develop into an international electronic music label network with a stronger identity, professional infrastructure and a growing catalog.
Over the years, Rice Bowl Recordings expanded beyond its original structure. Davin Duke left the project in 2019, and since 2022 the label has been fully owned and directed by Vince Blakk.
The network later expanded to include Blakk Digitally Music and Tulua Records, with each label developing its own musical identity and area of focus.
In 2025, Rice Bowl Recordings entered a new professional chapter with the incorporation of Rice Bowl Recordings LLC in Wyoming, USA, strengthening the company’s international operations and long-term vision.
This first demo announcement therefore represents more than an old promotional post.
It marks one of the earliest documented steps in the history of Rice Bowl Recordings and the beginning of the relationship between the label and the artists who would contribute to its development.
Rice Bowl Recordings continues to accept original and unreleased music through its official demo submission platform.
